Campground is at Dolby Springs Golf course 8W,2N, 1/2W of Buffalo via Hwy 64.Pay at the golf course. Grassy area under trees with randomly spaced water and 20 amp electric. Grey water ONLY dump.(didn't need to dump/didn't try). Has a large picnic shelter, some playground, and some hiking. There are no restrooms or showers. This just a nice quiet campground. If need all the bells and whistles, don't stop. This campground seems to be run totally on the honor system,at least in the off season
This is a newer park that is good for overnight, or visiting the area. It is not a destination park. It is designed for full hookups (w,s,e) We only needed 30A. I'm not sure if there is 50A. I don't know if the office has showers and restroom or not. After hours, the 2nd gate is left open. This is an operating feed and tack business, so during the day there is some tractor/loader noise. It is located about 1 mile West of Hwy 54 on the North side of town.
Convenient to Carlsbad; (town, cavern, shopping, river park area). Nice friendly park, if not crowded, they let you use 2 sites if needed for parking. I would not consider it a destination park, but for sight seeing the area, it is quite nice. Rate was discounted for non premium site, and Good Sam Discount
